How to Camouflage & highlighting Your face with makeup.
10.1 How does camouflage and highlighting makeup work?
First off you have to know that highlighting accentuates a feature meaning you want to make it more prominent and Seen. Second you have to know that camouflage/ contouring makeup hides anything you don’t want anyone to see. Thus creating the illusion that it does not exist.
10.2 How do I know what to use for camouflage and highlighting makeup?
To highlight:
Use 2 foundation shades lighter than your normal foundation colour.
To camouflage/contouring:
Use 2 foundation shades darker than your normal foundation colour.
Purchase a shimmery high lighter that is a shade or two lighter than your natural skin tone. This can be blush, bronzer, foundation or any kind of powder that isn’t sheer. Purchase some matte camouflage that is a shade or two darker than your natural skin tone. Again, this can be a blush, bronzer, foundation or any kind of powder that isn’t sheer.
Take a good long look in the mirror and assess your facial features. The key here is finding a way to balance out your face: our seemingly magical sense of beauty is really all about symmetry. An excessively large forehead, a protruding nasal bridge or a receding chin can distract from an otherwise lovely face.
